This vibrant plein air painting captures the energy of Venice in full swing. Hoping for a quiet corner to work, I set up in what I thought was a peaceful spot—only to discover I’d landed right on a tourist tour route! Every ten minutes, waves of camera-toting visitors swarmed around me, turning the painting process into a great challenge.
Despite the bustle, I had a blast making sense of the scene—focusing on the bridge and the shimmering colour reflections cast by the architecture above.
The result is a dynamic, expressive piece that celebrates the rhythm and chaos of Venetian life.
