The Royal Society Of Marine Artists (RSMA) Mall Galleries. My thoughts about the show

The two paintings above were both shortlisted to be included in the RSMA annual exhibition held at the Mall Galleries, London. This was my first time entering this particular open exhibition and with this in mind, I’m over the moon with the result. Just yesterday (27th Sep) I attended the private view opening of the show and it was wonderful to view the selection and variety of works on show, from abstract sculptures on a marine theme, to almost photographic pieces rendered in watercolours and oils.
I think that private view openings are a wonderful way to network and also learn. I tried to take notice of a variety of things including pricing and framing styles, something I’m always curious about. I met a member of the RSMA, David Howell. As it turns out, this Artist is also based in Yorkshire and we had a good chat about many Arty things as well as agreeing to get out painting together sometime soon, something I’m really looking forward to.
After returning from London, I decided to create a very short video clip sharing my thoughts and experiece of the exhibition and PV. Before anyone comments on this, I’m quite aware of how tired I look….. haha 🙂
